Troubles uploading sketch

Since today I experience problems uploading a sketch on Mac:

Sketch uses 444 bytes (1%) of program storage space. Maximum is 32256 bytes.
Global variables use 9 bytes (0%) of dynamic memory, leaving 2039 bytes for local variables. Maximum is 2048 bytes.

An error occurred while uploading the sketch

What board?

Is the correct board selected? Is it a nano? if so, have you tried the "old bootloader" option from tools -> processor?

Is anything connected to pins 0, 1 or reset? If so disconnect it.

Did the board ever work? Do other boards work? If it previously worked, what did you do to it when it stopped working?
