Using a bts7960 motor driver as a 24v relay

This solution is a bit of a hail marry so i apologize if this is a dumb question.

I have 2 12v 50ah sla batteries connexted in series to produce 24v.

This 24v feeds 2 MDDS30 dual motor controllers. Each channel of each motor controller is rated for 30amps.

Presently i have a manual switch i use to control the power to the motor controllers. I would like to replace this with an arduino controlled relay. My search of the forums and other resources hasnt turned up much.

So heres my wild idea, use 2 bts7960s (one for each controller) and program them to 100% duty cycle when activated, thus supplying the appropriate power to the notorr drivers.

Sounds too good to be true. But its that or try my luck with wiring relays in series.

It's possible but it's questionable as to whether those cheap BTS7960 modulse can handle 30A continuous. Also not sure what would happen to the BTS if you turned it off while the motor was running.

Post an annotated schematic, that would make it much easier to follow what you are eluding to. Also if you put them in series how are you going to wire the grounds?
