Wrapping magnet wire with solder?

To bundle my magnet wire I wrap the wire with solder. The solder is flexible and soft and none abrasive to the enamel finish.

I noticed the solder had turned dark the other day. Will the solder oxidize and damage the enamel finish in the magnet wire? It would wreck my project.

The dark colour on the lead is lead dioxide.

If this is magnet wire the coating should prevent the copper from oxidizing.
