Anemometer suggestions without moving parts

Are there any anemometers without moving parts for Arduino that have really low resolution? (0.01 m/s)

The only ones I have found are by Renkeer and they are hard to get by where I am as they only ship from China.

Does anyone have any alternatives under the $1000 range?

How is wind speed measured without moving parts? A pressure plate?

One approach is to measure the Doppler effect of ultrasonic signals in the moving air. With two ultrasonic beams at right angles, you can also get wind direction.

Have you looked into hot wire anemometers?

We would need to know the highest wind speed you would expect.

link?

Only need it for a few m/s max, maybe less than 20m/s

I am not sure if I can connect one in a module with other sensors

So you should specify what shipping restrictions you have.

I cant get anything from China. The anemometer you linked, can I make it work with an Arduino UNO?

Not ideal but with 433Mhz rf module, like cc1101, should be doable.
It's usually paired with wifi gateway and it has Home Assistant integration.
