I downloaded Create Agent 1.3.2. It appears to have installed but the icon is gray and it won't run. Machine is a MacBook Pro MacOS Ventura 13.4.1
Can you try the steps here?
Those steps don't work. The installation guide says We are not able to detect the installed agent.
After installing the Create Agent, you can do a right-click to open the debug console of Create Agent, can you share a screenshot of the console to have more information on the issue you are having?
Here are the steps I've been following.
download the Create Agent
drag into Applications
I can't imagine how I could screw this up. Is the Create Agent not compatible with macOS? I have it installed on my older MacBook Pro.
I appreciate your help to solve this issue.
After you add the Create agent to the application you will be able to see a small icon on the menu bar. You can right-click on that to get more options.
That means the installation is not completed, you will have to try again.
I’ve downloaded the installer and followed the installation instructions many many times. I suspect this software is not compatible with this version of macOS. Has the software been tested with this version of macOS? Could there be something in my settings preventing it from installing? I’ve turned off my firewall thinking that could stop the installation but that doesn’t work either. Don’t give up on me! There must be a solution.
Looking back on our previous conversation I noticed in one of my pictures that the Arduino IDE installer is for arm64 but the Arduino Create Agent is for amd64. Could that be the problem? The IDE installed and runs fine. My MacBook Pro has the Apple M2 chip which according to Wikipedia is an ARM chip.
Do you have any further suggestions?
What about my theory of the ARM processor?
Hi, I use a Mac with an M1 chip and the OS version is 13.5.1, not had any issue installing the Create Agent. For further analysis maybe its better we open a ticket with us. Use our Contact us to write to us and also include the Forum link.
I've had exactly the same issue
Apparently Arduino does not have a solution yet. I have not tried to install recently. Ive been using an older laptop for Arduino Cloud until there is a solution.
Same issue here - not able to get the agent to run using a MacBook Air with M2 processor
I’ve had a couple of users reply here stating that they are having the same issue.
Sounds like the M2 chip is a problem.
Is there a solution from Arduino in the near future?
