DIY FFB wheel encoder diagram?

Hello, i have been wanting to make a stearing wheel for pc, sim racing. But i have one problem, i have searched on internet for few hours now and i cant find any diagrams or datasheets of the encoder i got from printer. It would be greatfull if someone could help me. Sorry for my english, its not my first language.
This is the sensor, encoder that i will use. And im makeing it as cheep as posible.

Looking at the back side of that board, I see it has one LED and ONE sensor. That means you will be able to count the slots in the encoder wheel, but will never be able to tell the direction the wheel is moving. Sorry.

And what about this one?

Also i have another printer, it looks a bit modern then the other one! anlos can i use them togheter on one encoder wheel?

Printers don't need to know the direction of the slotted wheel. They already know the direction because they control the stepper motor's direction. So, the odds of finding such a sensor in a printer are pretty close to zero.

And what about this one, it looks like rotary one. Sorry for iteruptions just dont know theseting very well.

Thank you for the information.

Flowed logic, precision motion control systems need to know direction in order to actively hold position
and not lose registration during the reversal process.

The reason for the HP printers to do an alignment sequence whenever a printer cartridge is replaced determine the offset for each line of dots in either direction. That takes care of both the stepper alignment and the cartridge variations.
