Don't have the menu bar in sketch

I'm new to Arduino and I don't have the menu bar in the IDE so I can't follow the tutorials. I'm running Arduino 1.8.10 on MAC OS 10.11.6. None of what was written in this forum helped me.

macOS works a bit differently from the other operating systems. The menu bar is along the top of your screen. Note also that you should use the "Arduino" menu when tutorials mention the "File" menu.
