Can someone help me with ac servo drive, I'm using veichi sd700 servo drive and I want to replace the stepper motor with a servo motor. I'm using Arduino Uno now I want to connect it with veichi sd700 servo drive, I have attached the servo drive manual watch page 25 for pin configuration
sd700-series-servo-manual.pdf (3.8 MB)
What help do You need? What have You done so far?
i need help in wiring the pulse and direction pins
I am not going to download a 3.8MB file just to see what pins are used for what purpose. Suppose you just copy the page and show us the one page. Most important is what signals are required and what voltages.
What is the full model number? Different models have different interfaces.
It looks like the 'pulse' input models (SD700-xxxx-Px*) take three pulse inputs: PULSE, SIGN, and CLR. I think you use the PULSE input like the STEP input on a stepper driver, and the SIGN input like the DIRECTION input on a stepper driver. I'm not sure what the 'CLR' input is for but I suspect it sets the current position as 'home'.
Hi,
Do you need the servo for position or speed control?
If for position, how will you read where the servo is positioned?
Thanks.. Tom...
thanks for the replies I figured out to move servo by connecting pulse and signal pins, now I want to read the encoder value which is pin 48 and 49, I need the encoder to make a sensorless homing, I'm using servo for position control, I need help in homing my servo motor using the encoder
Servo drive model : sd700 3r3a pa
i need it for position control
