Hello i was wondering if someone could give me a recomendation for a LTE or 4G/5G module that i could use to integrate into a microcontroller? I am looking for something with small form factor and easy interface,i havent had any luck with google/duckduckgo so i am throwing myself at the feet of the arduino gods in this forum, thanks in advance
I've used this Uno shield before... works well.
Just need to check that the bands it uses are supported in your country.
Are you aware of anything smaller?
Not when I was looking... there don't seem to a lot of 4G modules around.
I have used these before. They're about $70 in single quantities and have an extensive feature set: they support everything from PPP to http and ftp and are pretty easy to use. I think they offer Arduino sample code, but not sure.
The module is about 1.25" square and has pins on (IIRC) a 0.1" spacing.
Yeah i wish their were more if i was more adept at pcb design i would make some
This looks like a good one! With that spacing is in bread board friendly?
Yes. In our implementation we put it in a socket.
Just measured one and it's 1.15x1.35"
Awesome are located in the USA? if so what sim card worked best for you?
If you buy from NimbeLink, they can sell a configured modem with a SIM. My client had a Verizon corporate account, so they used Verizon SIMs.
Awesome thank you!
