Motor Controller Question >?

Hello,

I have 4 dc motor Pololu - 131:1 Metal Gearmotor 37Dx57L mm 12V with 64 CPR Encoder (No End Cap) the spec of this motor is 12V with Free-run current @ 12V: 300 mA and Stall current @ 12V: 5000 mA.

I have this motor controller from adafruit Adafruit Motor/Stepper/Servo Shield for Arduino v2 Kit [v2.3] : ID 1438 : $19.95 : Adafruit Industries, Unique & fun DIY electronics and kits i read somewhere it said with 1.2A per channel and 3A peak current capability.

Do you think I can use this motor controller with my 4 dc motors.

Thanks

I am not an electric major or anything when it get to current voltage i kinda get scared not to burn things.

The stall current is well beyond the TB6612 driver chip's capability but it seems to have thermal shutdown protection so it should be able to handle an occasional overload.
