PLX-DAQ can't run it

hi,

I'm trying to use this app.

I have ( i hope ) all active -X permissions set , and macros ,but when I click on "PLX-DAQ-v2.11.xlsm"; excel opens but before I see any loaded screen, it closes again.

Windows 10.
Excel 2007.
PLX-DAz v2.11.

Excel settings:
//Trust centre/macros settings " Enable all macros";" trust access to VBA.."
// Active -X " Enable all controls without restrictions..."

can anyone offer advice ?

PLX-DAQ ver 2

I tried 2.2 as well , same result ( 2.11 was demonstrated on line with my version of excel )

I've used PLX-DAQ v2 with win10/excel in the past, but I've always loaded it from the menu in an open and running version of excel. Sorry, I can't remember the details.

There should be instructions in the PLX-DAQ v2 post.

Edit: open a spreadsheet with PLX-DAQ already installed:

The program uses two parts to work: the special Microsoft Excel Spreadsheet with the PLX DAQ v2 UI and commands plus any Arduino device that sends special commands for communication. The latest Excel Spreadsheet can be downloaded on the Arduino forum (Link: PLX-DAQ version 2 - now with 64 bit support! (and further new features) - Interfacing w/ Software on the Computer - Arduino Forum ; please always download the latest version!), the Arduino code can be written by everyone themselves with below guideline.

Same result when opened from an already open Excel ( from “recents “)

Did you download the "special Excel spreadsheet", with the macro pre-installed, from the link in the forum post?

Yes , so with excel open I ran this , get the round circle symbol , then about 5 seconds later Excel closes , no error messages .
( I assume you mean the .xlsm file )

Some pics…

no messages appear, no request to run macros ( enabled anyway), excel just closes.

I just downloaded and tried a fresh copy of V2.11. It works fine with MS Office Excel Pro Plus 2016. Maybe try contacting the author?

I’ve started a ticket with plc.

Meanwhile managed to get this error in “ modcomtester “

Spoke to the author , it has not been tested on 2007 and may just be too
Old .
