I use Windows 10 home 64 bit. I have an Arduino Uno that I bought on Amazon last year. When I plug it into my computer, it cannot detect the device and just calls it unknown. I've tried installing the drivers right from the arduino zip file on the website but I had no success. I tried installing the ch340 and ch341 drivers with no success. I've done all of these driver install attempts through Device Manager. When I go into device manager and search automatically instead of browsing, Windows does find something but is unable to install. "A service installation section in this INF is invalid." I don't know what this means. Also the device driver that shows up is called ATmega16U2. I don't know what this driver is and I don't know how to get my Arduino working. Can someone please help?

If it shows up as a 16U2 it is probably an official or very good clone.
Unable to install a driver would normally indicate a UAC / driver permissions issue which you can change from the control panel.
The drivers are actually in the IDE installation folder so you could also point it to those if you have the official IDE installed.
