Forum in Updateprogress?

The functions in the forum software are not usable, neither the search, nor copying code or anything else. Partially the page is gone completely.

Updates?

Was there an announcement about this?

There appears to have been some minor outages over the last few days but it has been reported up the ladder.

Be assured they are working on it.

Bob.,

PS Often a refresh or clearing your browsers cache can help

I'm just now able to get online for the first time today. Good Morning.

For me it started about 4.5 hours ago. It's intermittent; just now it was down again

Funny thing at the bottom of the screenshot "all sites operational".

I even got the 504 gateway timeout error that we had so often on the old forum.
And a lot of messages that the draft is edited in another window :frowning:

Where do addicts like me go to

Here, closing the browser clears the cache, history and logins.

Logging back in now took 30 minutes.

This is not a state....

Error 503 / Gateway Error 504 - This looks like some interface to some service is not working anymore.

Ever thought about taking out all the third party tracking bugs?

The Twitter API should be the first victim.

Same issues here. I tried 3 different devices, and finally got it to work on an iPad. Strange considering my 2 PCs usually work better then a tablet does.

Just able to get back on :crossed_fingers:

new day, old problem.
no message, or failure message.

Not even the login.
And as status "All systems run error free" :rage:

Arduino-User-Forum produces errors 502, 503, 504 dsicord "we are experiencing technical problems"

Hello,

did you slow down the arduino-forums perfomance for security reasons?

This is day 2 that it is almost impossible to use the forum.

Is the forum experiencing a DDoS-attack?
Did 95% of all servers fail?
Are all maintenance-team-members on vacation so nobody is there to fix it?

It would be good communication to

EXPLAIN what the problem is and what you estimate how long it will take to fix it

best regards Stefan

Hmm. How many servers and "maintenance-team members" to you imagine actually exist?

Sure. If they know, and if we could actually see the answers. :frowning:
Things like this could stay in the finger-pointing stage for ... a while.
(I think it is only slightly likely that Arduino runs their own servers, for instance. It'd be more common to pay for cycles and rack space provided by someone else. (points finger.))

The main question is - when this will be fixed?

Oh, forum in read-only mode for the last 1/4 hour.

Server restart?

Fingers crossed but I've finally managed :hand_with_index_finger_and_thumb_crossed:

It felt like this:

Fixed.

Did they try turning it off, and back on again?

Not necessary.

15:30 Server restart?

Hi all. Thanks for your reports and for your patience.

I have been in communication with the Discourse team and they notified me that the problem has been resolved and the forum should be back in a stable state now with the exception of some missing icons (which will also be restored ASAP).

Please let us know if you experience any other degradations of forum availability or usability.

Regards,
pert

that's that one thing that each and every modern electronic system loves most: restart / reboot.
And additionally this is the most often asked question that supporters ask the customer on the hotline: "Did you restart your device?"

Whoever helped making the forum-software running smooth and at high perfomance again

thank you very much ! :smiling_face_with_three_hearts: :heartbeat:  :+1:   :1st_place_medal:
