High temp (400^F) temperature sensor

Hi,

a real newbie here - trying to build some type of temperature controller for a DIY curing oven for powder coating. Need to maintain a temp of about 400^F. Cannot find an analog sensor that goes above 150^C.

I have seen the relay board on Sparkfun which would work fine controlling the heat source which is a 110VAC hot plate. Just cannot find any sensor to input to the Uno.

Suggestions, thoughts??

Thanks,

K-type thermocouple. Common and relatively inexpensive. A special thermocouple amplifier is needed to interface it to a microcontroller. For example:

I have a couple of the older MAX6675 boards and they work well.

Look on eBay or elsewhere for nicer, stainless-steel thermocouple probes. You still need something like the Adafruit board to control it though.

Should have also mentioned Omega Engineering, which is where I got my thermocouples.
